FAQs

Where will the wedding be? Are there any events other than the ceremony?

The wedding will be in Princeton, NJ, at the Mercer County Boathouse. We will be having welcome drinks the night before and a brunch the morning after! Details are available here.

Tell me about the wedding day! What should I expect?

We’re getting married at the Mercer County Boathouse, which is a twenty-minute drive from downtown Princeton. The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. If the weather is nice, it will be outside. If not, we’ll hold it indoors.

After the ceremony, we’ll have a cocktail hour, complete with passed hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks! From there, we’ll move to a seated dinner, followed by dancing, which will go until 10pm. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be at the Mercer County Boathouse.

Wait, I need to hear more about the food. And the drinks.

There will be SO MUCH food — and a full open bar! Please come ready to eat, drink, and have a fantastic time! If you decide to take full advantage of the bar (and we hope you do), please have a designated driver or take an Uber/Lyft/cab back to your hotel.

I have dietary restrictions. Will I still be able to eat?

The cocktail hour will have a wide variety of food, including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options.

As for the reception, all of the entrée options are gluten free and there will be a vegan entrée option. If you have any other dietary restrictions or any food allergies, please let us know! We will do our best to accommodate you. We want you to have a fantastic time.

Are children welcome?

YES! We are so excited to have your children party with us! Please keep in mind that the Mercer County Boathouse is a waterfront venue, so you’ll need to keep an eye on your little ones.

If your children need a break from the wedding, there’s a playground right next to the Boathouse where they can climb, jump, and swing to their heart’s content.

What should I wear?

We’re asking everyone to wear cocktail attire, but please keep the weather in mind as you plan your outfits. If the weather permits, we’ll hold the ceremony outside.

I won’t have a car. How can I get to the venue? For that matter, how should I get to Princeton?

The best option for getting to/from the venue is to take an Uber, Lyft, or cab. As for getting to Princeton (and where to stay once you get there), we have a full page with this information!

I have a present for you! Where should I send it?

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity, but please do not send us gifts! The best present we could have is your attendance at our wedding. In lieu of gifts, please make a donation to one of the charities we have listed on our registry page. If you insist on getting us something, please contribute to our honeymoon registry.

I’m so excited! By when should I RSVP?

We’re excited too! Please let us know if you can make it as soon as possible, and no later than September 1st.
